1. Bookings & Deposits

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking date.
• The remaining balance is due in full 48 hours before your event date.
• Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received and acknowledged.
• Cathrine Luxe Events reserves the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings and offer the date to other clients.

2. Damage Deposit

• A refundable damage deposit of R1,500 is required for all events involving décor items, props, and furniture.
• This deposit will be returned in full within 3 business days following the event, provided all items are returned undamaged.
• Any damage to décor, props, or equipment will be deducted from the damage deposit. If costs exceed the deposit, the client will be invoiced for the outstanding amount.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 7 or more days before the event date may be rescheduled at no charge, subject to availability.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total booking value.
• Cancellations on the day of the event are non-refundable.
• Rescheduling is permitted once per booking, subject to availability.

4. Weather & Outdoor Events

• For outdoor events, Cathrine Luxe Events monitors weather conditions closely in advance.
• If weather conditions are deemed unsuitable (heavy rain, high winds, or extreme heat), the event will be rescheduled at no cost to the client, subject to availability.
• Light drizzle or overcast conditions do not constitute grounds for rescheduling.
• Clients are encouraged to have a backup indoor option where possible.

5. Event Duration & Overtime

• All picnic, hotel room, and restaurant setups are booked and priced for a 3-hour duration.
• Extensions beyond the booked duration are subject to availability and will incur an additional hourly rate.
• Overtime must be arranged and paid in advance.

6. Flower Orders

• Flower orders are subject to seasonal availability. Where specific flowers are unavailable, a suitable alternative of equal or greater value will be substituted.
• A 10% discount on flowers applies only when added to a confirmed picnic, hotel room, or event setup booking.
• Flower orders placed independently are not eligible for the add-on discount.
• Fresh flowers are perishable. Cathrine Luxe Events is not liable for the lifespan of flowers beyond the point of delivery or setup.

7. Payments

• We accept EFT (electronic bank transfer) and cash payments. No card payments at this time.
• All pricing is quoted and payable in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Proof of payment must be sent via WhatsApp or email to confirm receipt.

8. Liability

• Cathrine Luxe Events takes every precaution to ensure a smooth and beautiful event experience. However, we are not liable for circumstances beyond our control including weather, venue issues, third-party supplier failures, or force majeure events.
• Clients are responsible for the behaviour of their guests and for any damage caused to décor, props, or equipment during the event.

9. Photography & Marketing

• Cathrine Luxe Events may photograph setups for use on social media and marketing materials.
• If you prefer your event not to be photographed or shared, please notify us in writing at the time of booking.
